The Newark site hosts our labs, poultry facilities (BSL-2), and animal care resources for nutrition, host-pathogen interactions and microbiome research.

Carvel Center – Georgetown, DE

Carvel Center

This southern Delaware facility has BSL-2 commercial and pen houses for broiler trials.

Charles C. Allen Jr. Biotechnology Laboratory

Allen Biotechnology Lab

The Allen Lab, located in Newark, DE, is a BSL-3, USDA-licensed, and NAHLN-approved facility dedicated to high-containment poultry disease research. This building supports work on highly virulent pathogens like avian influenza and Newcastle disease in a secure and biosecure environment.
